Welcome to Sanctuary Fellowship Baptist Church — where faith is alive, community is sacred, and the glory of God is our constant pursuit.

I’m Pastor Keith L. Whitney, and nearly three decades ago, God placed a vision on my heart to build something beautiful in the city of Detroit — not just a building, but a spiritual refuge. A sanctuary. A place where lives are transformed, hearts are healed, and the Word of God is boldly proclaimed.

We began with nothing but a prayer and a promise — worshiping in borrowed spaces, walking by faith through seasons of wilderness, much like the Israelites of old. And yet, through every step of the journey, God has remained faithful. Today, Sanctuary stands as living proof of what happens when ordinary people trust in an extraordinary God.
